Miltonduff 15 Year Old Ballantine’s Series #2 | 1797!

The first release in a series of single malts bottled by Ballantine’s intended to showcase the strengths and flavours of three of the core distilleries that comprise Ballantine’s blended whisky.

This Speyside expression, distilled at the Miltonduff in Elgin, has been matured in an American Oak cask for at least 15 years before being selected by Sandy Hyslop for bottling.

Miltonduff is a vital component to the Ballantine’s range and the majority of its output is used in the world’s second best selling blended whisky. Interestingly the distillery once used triple distillation and also Lomond Stills for a while, although not at the same time.

The spirit that ran from the Lomond Stills was called Mosstowie and it was discontinued in 1981.
