This new competition introduces a “low cost, low ticket concept” with a unique element called the **”insurance bottle.”** Its primary goal is to ensure more people win whisky prizes every week.
Here’s a breakdown of how it operates:
* **Eligibility for the Insurance Bottle:** Only participants who have purchased a ticket for the competition *and* have not already won a “main prize” on that draw day are eligible for the insurance bottle draw. This excludes winners of “Buyer Bottle” and “Free Entry Into” prizes.
* **What if you win a main prize?** If you’ve won a main prize but also have tickets in the insurance competition, your tickets for the insurance draw will be automatically **refunded** to your wallet. You can then use these refunded funds for future draws.
This setup seems designed to offer a win-win scenario, either by providing an extra chance to win for those who haven’t yet, or by refunding tickets to main prize winners.
Each winter the geese that grace our glen make a miraculous journey of 3000 miles across the Atlantic to America. This migration has inspired a new whisky for the Glengoyne core range a celebration of Quercus Alba (American Oak) that we call White Oak.
A first for Glengoyne, this brand new expression is matured exclusively in First Fill Bourbon and Virgin Oak Casks sourced from North America.
These casks are charred for less than a minute allowing the Glengoyne spirit to shine, unladen. White Oak sings of vibrant wood and bright citrus, unripe banana and a hint of violets.
The palate is soft and playful with touches of creme brulee, fruit gums and pineapple. At 48% the finish is long and smooth, giving flavours of toffee apple.
