The second Compass Box homage to Delilah’s, the legendary punk rock whisky bar in Chicago. The first was bottled on the advent of it’s 20th anniversary in 2013, and this 5 years later on its 25th.
The whisky itself was produced using a small parcel of the original 20th anniversary blend, matured for a further 5 years, with Spanish sherry oak and American oak matured malt whiskies added to the mix.
Compass Box Whisky Company is a Scotch whisky blender that was established in 2000 by John Glaser. The company prides itself on its boundary-pushing approach to its creations and is one of the foremost advocates for transparency in the whisky industry when it comes to blended whisky recipes.
The signature Compass Box brand is the batch-released Hedonism blended grain, and its core range is completed by Orchard House, The Story of the Spaniard, The Spice Tree and The Peat Monster blended malts. These are supported by regular and often revered limited editions, many of which have become collector’s items.
