The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779.
Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. Under their ownership is has been nurtured into one of the most collectable names in Scotch whisky.
Originally a travel retail exclusive, Edition #4 of the Bowmore x Aston Martin is a 10-year-old whisky that combines single malt matured in Spanish oak sherry casks and hogsheads, named Dark & Intense as a nod to the rich sherry character.
A generous one litre bottle here, at 40% ABV.
