The Wolfburn Lest We Forget 100 Years Of The Poppy | 1937!

The Wolfburn distillery teamed up with Carnegie Whisky Cellars to create this limited edition bottling, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the First World War’s end.

Situated on Scotland’s rugged north coast, the Wolfburn distillery was first established in 1821, rapidly becoming the largest distillery in the Caithness area.

The purchase of the land was finalised in May 2012 and the first ground was broken on the new site just a few months later. The new Wolfburn distillery building is just a short walk along the burn from the old site towards the sea.

The Flow Country covers much of Caithness and has done so since the end of the last ice age. It is an ancient and almost unique environment, the largest expanse of blanket peat bog in Europe, perhaps the entire world.

Today Wolfburn’s distillers fashion their whisky the same way it was always made, by hand, using only the finest ingredients, and without haste. Distilled, matured and bottled on-site at the Distillery.
