Lindores Single Malt Scotch Whisky MCDXCIV | 3006!
This competition introduces a “low cost, low ticket concept” with a unique element called the **”insurance bottle.”** Its primary goal is to ensure more people win whisky prizes every week.
Here’s a breakdown of how it operates:
* **Eligibility for the Insurance Bottle:** Only participants who have purchased a ticket for the competition *and* have not already won a “main prize” on that draw day are eligible for the insurance bottle draw. This excludes winners of “Buyer Bottle” and “Free Entry Into” prizes.
* **What if you win a main prize?** If you’ve won a main prize but also have tickets in the insurance competition, your tickets for the insurance draw will be automatically **refunded** to your wallet. You can then use these refunded funds for future draws.
This setup seems designed to offer a win-win scenario, either by providing an extra chance to win for those who haven’t yet, or by refunding tickets to main prize winners.
Lindores Abbey Distillery, located in Newburgh, Fife, is a modern Scotch whisky producer with deep historical roots. The site is renowned as the “spiritual home of Scotch whisky,” stemming from a 1494 record where Friar John Cor of Lindores Abbey was commissioned by King James IV to produce “aqua vitae,” an early form of whisky.
Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Fife, Scotland. Lindores MCDXCIV is distilled and bottled at Lindores Abbey Distillery in the Kingdom of Fife, Scotland, the site of the earliest written record of Scotch whisky in 1494.
Fruity & Spiced Flavour Profile.
Aromas of mellow vanilla and caramel mesh with orchard fruits and nostalgic pear drops, reminiscent of toffee apples. The palate welcomes dried fruits and a bright citrus flare, before finishing with a long gentle spice.
Matured in Three Cask Types. A thoughtful marriage of Bourbon Barrels, Wine Barriques and Sherry Butts shapes the whisky building layers of flavour while creating complex depth and well-rounded character.
Signature Lindores Distillation. Produced using long wash fermentation and our distinctive Sister Spirit Stills, increasing contact with copper helps us refine our flavour for a rich, characterful single malt.
Internationally Award-Winning Scotch Whisky. Recognised by leading global spirits competitions including Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022, Gold at IWSC 2022 and Silver at the World Whiskies Awards 2023.
