Macallan - Litha The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray.

The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.

Litha means light and it was the name that the Celts gave to the summer solstice.

The solstice is a tipping point. When two forces meet for the first time, it sparks a shift in the balance of nature.

Macallan - Litha It is a powerful instant, an eternal first encounter that changes everything. It makes the days longer, bringing new light, new life, and it has been celebrated since antiquity by countless cultures across the world.

Matured in first fill sherry seasoned oak casks, this whisky was initially only available in China.
