Kilkerran 2005 Work In Progress #2 | 2506!
They also wished to avoid any possible confusion between the newest single malt to come from the Campbeltown region and a pre-existing blended Highland malt. Secondly, and more importantly, Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd are very proud to be continuing and adding to the great Campbeltown Distilling tradition and the choice of name reflects that. Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic ‘Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain’ which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kerran had his religious cell and where Campbeltown now stands. Kilkerran is thought to be a suitable name for a new Campbeltown malt since it was unusual for the old Campbeltown distilleries to be called after a Glen, a custom more usually associated with the Speyside region. A Kilkerran scotch whisky distilled at the Glengyle Distillery before maturing in oak casks. This is the Work in Progress 2nd release - the range follows the the progress of the distillery on the road to bottling their first 12 year old. Bottled in 2010. Lakes The Whiskymaker's Editions Bal Masque + 10 Instant Wins | 2512!
Complex and aromatic, Bal Masque bears the mystery and seduction of a masquerade ball in its depths. Flavours and aromas mingle like masked revellers with featherlight touches, coquettish flourishes and always the promise of more. Of being transported to unchartered territories beyond expectations. The beauty of Bal Masque derives from the mercurial, not the obvious. With guile, wisdom, wit and panache, our whiskymaker has conducted enigmatic French oak casks to create a seductive, mysterious character. Forbidden orchard fruits abound and entwine on the tongue with sweet sensory spices, raisins, vanilla and nutmeg, with subtle background notes of toasted almonds and incense. To create a sense of intrigue and seduction, with Bal Masque The Lakes used only French oak to mature the whisky. Working with French oak for primary maturation can be tricky in comparison to using American and Spanish oak, but the results can be quite fascinating. When used exclusively, the abundance of tannins and wood extractives can create a beautifully seductive and mysterious character. Exceptional diversions from The Lakes sherry-led house style, The Whiskymaker’s Editions are special-edition single malt whiskies which showcase whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi’s sense of adventure in cask selection, maturation, and blending. Each unique bottling is an expression of creative freedom, the product of a playground where instinct, experience and inspiration roam free, coming together to realise one intrinsic objective; the creation of outstanding flavours. The Lakes practises holistic whisky making, with the whiskymaker at the helm throughout the journey through the distillery and beyond. His single-minded focus at every stage provides continuity of character; their assurance that every flavour possibility is achieved. That idea of distilling being distinct individual elements is not how a whiskymaker looks at the art. Rather it is part of a continuum, a net of possibilities where everything in interlinked. Change one element and the effect will change everything else. Only by understanding how flavours are created throughout the journey through the distillery will the whiskymaker fully comprehend the possibilities. That is why at The Lakes, unusually, their whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi is actively involved at every stage. It is holistic whisky making. Only 5,388 bottles of The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Edition Bal Masque were released. ⭐️ £1.99 Per Ticket Good Luck! | £1.99 Max: Min: 0 Step: 1 Add to cart | |

Crown jewel of the Edrington Group and one of the best-known names in single malt Scotch, made famous by the legendary status of much of the whisky it has produced over the years, including its Fine & Rare series, Anniversary malts and flagship annual 18-year-old release.

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management.
Talisker was founded by two brothers, Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill in 1830 and until 1928 practised triple distillation.
