Macallan Colour Collection 12 Year Old | 2561!

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management.

It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all round the world.

A new £140 million subterranean distillery and visitor centre on the Easter Elchies estate was opened to the public in the summer of 2018 and has since won several awards for its architectural quality; with its exciting features including glass walls of vintage whiskies, a circular pod of copper pot stills, and a Boutique reflecting those in Dubai and Heathrow airports.

The Macallan Colour Collection is a celebration of the natural colours, complex flavours and aromas imbued by our exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks during the maturation process.

Designed in collaboration with eminent artist and graphic designer David Carson, the Collection features five exceptional age statement whiskies crafted by The Macallan whisky Mastery Team.

Arran Founder's Reserve + 10 Instant Wins | 2568!

A piece of whisky history, the Arran Founders Reserve Single Malt is a collector’s dream and a connoisseur’s delight. Bottled in 2001 exclusively for the bond holders and founding supporters of the Arran Distillery, this expression represents the very first single malt crafted by the now-renowned Isle of Arran Distillers.

This youthful single malt, brimming with vibrant energy and charm, offers an intriguing glimpse into Arran’s formative years. The nose is a delicate invitation, weaving together the sweetness of custard cream biscuits, the creamy indulgence of vanilla ice cream, and the bright freshness of tropical fruits, with zesty lemon icing and a subtle hint of cereal rounding out the profile.

On the palate, it reveals a decadent tapestry of flavours. Think white chocolate panna cotta, enriched with spiced tropical fruit — pineapple takes the spotlight here —balanced by the comforting warmth of custard danish pastries and a gentle touch of vanillin oak. The interplay of sweetness, spice, and fruit is both complex and delightfully approachable, showcasing the distillery’s early commitment to quality and innovation.

The finish lingers beautifully, leaving whispers of buttery shortbread, juicy pineapple chunks, creamy vanilla custard, and a final flourish of white chocolate. Aromatic spices make their presence felt, adding depth to this spirited young dram. Though youthful, it offers a fascinating preview of the distinctive flavours that would come to define Arran whiskies in the years ahead.

This release is more than just a whisky; it’s a slice of Arran’s legacy. Whether you’re a collector cherishing its rarity or a whisky enthusiast eager to taste the origins of a modern icon, the Arran Founders Reserve is an exceptional find. Secure your bottle of this historic treasure—if you can.

Rare and highly sought after, it captures the pioneering spirit of a distillery that has since become a stalwart of Scottish whisky craftsmanship.
