White Horse - Extra Fine Blended Scotch Whisky | 2591!

White Horse Distillers is a former subsidiary of drinks giant, Diageo. The company was established in 1924 following the death of Sir Peter Mackie and reorganisation of his blending company, Mackie & Co.

In renaming itself, White Horse Distillers became one of the few Scotch whisky companies to be named after one of its brands.

White Horse Distillers was amalgamated with the Distillers Company Limited in 1927. DCL and its successors, United Distillers and Diageo operated it as a subsidiary for the remainder of the 20th century before the latter dissolved the company in 2010.

Although chiefly known for its blends, the company has historic connections to various single malt distilleries, including Lagavulin, Glen Elgin and the mythical Malt Mill.

Royal Lochnagar - 12 Year Old (Game of Thrones) House Baratheon ThumbnailHouse Baratheon – After leading the rebellion against the Targaryen dynasty, Robert Baratheon took his seat upon the Iron Throne to rule over the Seven Kingdoms.

The Baratheon stag flew on banners above the Stormlands and King’s Landing and golden antlered crowns signified absolute power.

Over time, the Baratheon lords proved to be better warriors than rulers, and their house now lays in ruins.

Compass Box Menagerie | 2610!

From the team that brought you The Buyers Bottle, The Free Entry Into, The Macallan Mystery and The Insurance Bottle, comes a brand new competition! Risk it or Biscuit combines many of your favourite competition mechanics and once again provides us with the opportunity to create a unique winner twice a month. Firstly the prize will be more akin to that of a low ticket competition, a step up from the regular fare of our other 'unique winner creation' competitions.

Every other Tuesday the 100 ticket competition will be drawn and anyone who has won a main prize in the previous 4 draws will not be eligible to win. Sounds a bit like the insurance bottle? Not so fast - there are some major differences! Only winners of the 5 main prizes in each draw will be out of contention, so if you win a BB, a Free, a Second prize or an Insurance you are still in it to win it!

So where's the Risk I hear you clamouring? This leads us to another unique twist! Each player can have a maximum of 5 entries. If you do win one of the main prizes in the 4 draws prior to Risk it or Biscuit then you will receive a flat 5 pound site credit return on whatever tickets you have bought, and with the tickets only being 1.99 do you take the risk that you will be a winner and buy just the one ticket more than doubling the initial purchase? Of course if you then don't win you have dramatically slashed the odds of success in the Risk It competition.

Maybe your risk will be increasing your odds and buying the maximum 5 tickets, sure great chance at the Risk It but if you win a main you'll only get that fiver back - mind you I guess one could live with that if you have a main prize sitting on your mantle! Or do you risk waiting to grab your tickets until you see if you are a winner - or will they fly off the shelf like the insurance bottle leaving you without a chair when that music stops?

With upto 24 of your competitors disappearing from the draw each fortnight you could be the only one left in, and then even Colin couldn't come up with a 'it's not there'! In the unlikely event that there are no entrants left everyone with a ticket is in for the spin!

What's with the biscuits? As you well know our generousity knows no bounds! Second place will be a packet of biscuits with which to dunk for all those of you who can't join Col in a dram on draw night. I'm sure a few pics with you and your McVities (other brands are available) on the winners wall will drive the others crazy with envy!

The competition will be drawn on a Tuesday twice a month, with the winner 'exclusion' period being the 4 competitions ending on the previous Friday including the 3 prior to that. The 5 pound reimbursement to previous winners will be provided after the conclusion of the final Friday draw of each series.

Winning this competition will not be eligible to win the regular insurance bottle on the night of that draw, and will receive the appropriate compensation for tickets purchased for that competition.

If you purchase a ticket after winning a main prize your purchase will be converted into site credit, at the purchase price not at the flat 5 pound rate.'

Some distilleries are renowned for their meatier spirit style; underneath the fruitiness or maltiness lurks something that is just a little bit animalic. We were inspired to search out malts with this touch of the wild about them – whether from their distillation or subsequent maturation – and bring them together in our Menagerie.

Compass Box Menagerie is a blend of malt whiskies from Mortlach, Laphroaig, Glen Elgin, Deanston, and other distilleries from the Scottish Islands.

Menagerie boasts a complex aroma of baking spices, leather, tar and musky fruits. The palate is engagingly lush with even more fruit, while oily smoke and forest floor notes linger in the finish.

Macallan Colour Collection 12 Year Old | 2612!

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management.

It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records at auctions all round the world.

A new £140 million subterranean distillery and visitor centre on the Easter Elchies estate was opened to the public in the summer of 2018 and has since won several awards for its architectural quality; with its exciting features including glass walls of vintage whiskies, a circular pod of copper pot stills, and a Boutique reflecting those in Dubai and Heathrow airports.

The Macallan Colour Collection is a celebration of the natural colours, complex flavours and aromas imbued by our exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks during the maturation process.

Designed in collaboration with eminent artist and graphic designer David Carson, the Collection features five exceptional age statement whiskies crafted by The Macallan whisky Mastery Team.
