Either Or Highland Park Valfather or Kilchoman 2011 Port Cask Matured | 3001!

Released in 2019, Valfather formed the final part of the Highland Park Viking Legend trilogy, a collaboration with Danish designer, Jim Lyngvild. Valfather followed Valkyrie and Valknut and was matured exclusively in refill casks. This expression was billed as the "peatiest" the distillery had produced to date.

An Islay malt distillery that was the first new distillery on the island for 124 years when it opened in 2005. Founded by the Wills family, the distillery saw a return of the practice of “farm distilling” to Islay as it used its own barely fields, malt floors and kilns.

Either Or Ledaig 2009 Big Brother 12 Year Old or Glenlivet French Oak Reserve 15 Year Old | 3018!

A Scottish malt whisky distillery on the Isle of Mull, originally established as Ledaig back in 1798. Having experienced a turbulent early history, Burn Stewart Distillers has brought success and stability to it in the modern era. It currently produces a standard non-peated spirit and a peated malt.

‘The Glenlivet’, encouraging their consumers not to accept any imitations. Glenlivet is in a long-running battle with Glenfiddich for the title of best-selling single malt, with both now selling over a million cases a year.

This 15 year old release of Glenlivet, matured in French Limousin Oak casks. Limousin Oak is very commonly used for the maturation of Cognac.

This was launched as part of a new core range in 2004 and replaced a 12 year old age-statement of the same maturation.

The Macallan Quest Single Malt Scotch Whisky + 10 Instant Wins | 3031!

It may be hard to imagine today, but for much of the 20th century, Macallan was primarily a constituent malt in blends. It was not until the 1980s downturn in the market that the distillery decided to focus on its single malt brand.

Fortuitously, this coincided with the crest of a wave of enthusiasm for the high quality releases that the distillery had licensed to Campbell, Hope & King and Gordon & MacPhail in the 1960s and 1970s.

These remain some of the most collectible on the market. While global single malt sales volume is still lead by Speyside neighbours, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, Macallan is easily the most sought after. So much so in fact, that they had to open a brand new distillery in 2018, a subterranean architectural masterpiece within the Easter Elchies estate, boasting 36 copper pot stills.

Quest is a travel retail exclusive release from Macallan, introduced in 2017 alongside Lumina, Terra and Enigma. The range replaced The 1824 Collection which had been marketed since 2009.

The whisky itself wass matured in European and American oak sherry-seasoned casks and hogsheads, and American oak Bourbon casks.

Suntory Royal Whisky - Year of the Horse Decanter or Burnside 18 Year Old | 3032!

A historic Japanese whisky company, originally founded as Torii Shoten in 1899. It was renamed Kotobukiya in 1921, and again to Suntory after its flagship whisky brand in 1963.

It has since become one of the world's largest spirits multinationals and was renamed Suntory Holdings Ltd in 2009. (NOTE TAIL DAMAGED)

A briefly-extant independent bottling operation in Scotland. Active only in 2018, it produced a handful of single cask bottlings of blended malt and single malt Scotch whiskies. BURNSIDE is made from the union of two great Speyside malt distilleries, both granted the same foundations from a single whisky family.

The younger of the two overwhelmingly holds the balance of power, whilst the staggering older sibling stirs the cask with a silver spoon in their mouth.

Official tasting notes:
Peaches and cream. Tropical fruits. Candied orange peel, dried pineapple and papaya. Sprinkle of spices. Pear skins, crème caramel, sauna wood and chardonnay. Has an old world charm.
