Despite this great achievement, its line was almost totally extinct after the War of the Five Kings.In 1848 the small highland distillery Lochnagar - located close to the royal Balmoral Castle - was visited by Queen Victoria and King Albert, and became the first distillery in Scotland to be granted the royal warrant, known from then on as 'Royal' Lochnagar. A Deanston with post-aging in 1st fill Merlot Wine Barrique has been bottled here. Otherwise there is little information about the bottling.
