| Balblair 16 Year Old Circa 2000’s | 2045!
Part of this modernisation includes a contemporary visitor centre running excellent tours that highlight the distillery’s starring role in Ken Loach’s 2012 movie ‘The Angels’ Share’. Balblair has also changed from oil to gas to reduce their ecological footprint. In 2019, Balblair redesigned their bottlings moving away from annual vintage releases and towards age statement whiskies with an aim to provide a more accessible, premium offering. Discontinued from the Balblair distillery, the old style 16 Year Old shares the same light and fruity base as most of the Balblair available today. We estimate this was bottled circa 2000’s. | The Jura Superstition Special Edition + 10 instant wins | 2047!
The people of Jura are superstitious. The single malt "Isle Of Jura Superstition" is distilled on the west coast of Scotland and shines since 2017 in a special tattoo design. Located on the West Coast of Scotland is the Isle of Jura, where the red deer population outnumbers the human population by 5000 to 200. The island lies only 60 miles from Glasgow, (as the crow flies), yet can take rather a long time to reach. It consists of one road, one pub, one distillery and one shop and is often described as remote. In fact, while writing the classic “1984”, George Orwell described the island as “The most un-getable place”. Originally built in 1810 the distillery fell into disrepair and wasn’t revived until the 1960’s by two local estate owners. It is now under the ownership of Philippines-based “Emperador INC”. 43% ABV / 70cl ⭐️ £1.99 Per Ticket Good Luck! | £1.99 Max: Min: 0 Step: 1 Add to cart | |
| Glenmorangie 10 Year Old Circa 1980 | 2048!
While this undoubtedly played a part in the rather sizeable market share they enjoy today, some credit has to be given to the whisky itself. Their famous stills stand as tall as a fully grown adult giraffe, and as well as giving them ultimate Top Trumps bragging rights, this has the benefit of producing a smoother and more delicate spirit. Pioneers of cask finishes, the distillery has never shied away from experimentation, and under the guiding hand of Maestro Dr Bill Lumsden they continue to release a variety of expressions to keep “The Sixteen Men of Tain” rushed off their feet.

Balblair is owned by InverHouse Distillers and boasts one of the oldest histories of any distillery in Scotland. The distillery owes a huge debt to lawyer and energetic businessman Robert “Bertie” Cumming who purchased the distillery in 1948 after years of silence and went on to expand and modernise the distillery.

One of the most recognisable names in Scotch whisky, Glenmorangie were quick out the gates to advertise and promote their Single Malt to a global audience as early as the 1960s.
This is the real backbone of the Glenmorangie range. A bottling in a wooden box exclusive for the Japanese market. We estimate this was bottled circa 1980s.
One of the Japanese whisky giants, Kotobukiya, or as we know them today; Suntory. The company was founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1899, first as an importer of Western wines and liquor.
Now they produce numerous ranges including Yamazaki, Hibiki, and Hakushu.

1825 saw the official opening of the Adelphi distillery in the Gorbals, Glasgow, but after changing hands a smattering of times throughout the mid to late 1800’s, it finally ended up in the hands of DLC in 1902. Sadly, production at the distillery ceased shortly afterwards.
