Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 1877!

To create Stiùireadair, our Blender selects first and second fill sherry casks with spirit of varying ages and warehouse locations to construct a dram that truly exposes the coastal nature of our Islay single malt whisky.

With a brackish, coastal tinge, this sherried malt will transport you to Bunnahabhain bay, with a smattering of sea spray and dried fruit lingering on your lips.

On the nose, dive deep into this Islay malt with notes of dried fruit and creamy caramel with hints of brine, vanilla, nuts and a touch of spice.

On the palate, expect a creamy mouth feel with a dried fruit influence, sea salt, creamy caramel with hints of nuts and a gentle spice. The finish is long and lingering with hints of dried fruit.

Wolfburn 200 Years Anniversary Edition | 1881!

Situated on Scotland’s rugged north coast, the Wolfburn distillery was first established in 1821, rapidly becoming the largest distillery in the Caithness area.

The purchase of the land was finalised in May 2012 and the first ground was broken on the new site just a few months later. The new Wolfburn distillery building is just a short walk along the burn from the old site towards the sea.

The Flow Country covers much of Caithness and has done so since the end of the last ice age. It is an ancient and almost unique environment, the largest expanse of blanket peat bog in Europe, perhaps the entire world.

Today Wolfburn’s distillers fashion their whisky the same way it was always made, by hand, using only the finest ingredients, and without haste. Distilled, matured and bottled on-site at the Distillery.

This bottle is celebrating the very significant 200th anniversary of Wolfburn! The design seen on the label and bottle pays homage to the distilleries Caithness heritage. This is a really exciting bottle filled with an amazing dram.

200th Anniversary Edition Distilled: 2013, Bottled: 2021, Cask Type: Bourbon & Sherry Casks, 50% ABV, Bottle Number: 38 / 1821

We like to think of it as vanilla ice cream at a beach bonfire. 2019 International Spirits Challenge Silver, 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Awards Gold, 2019 SIP Awards Double Gold.

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt Whisky | 1906!

Nikka Takesturu Pure Malt is a Japanese Blended Malt Whisky with captivating freshness.
It is combination of different casks from Nikka’s Yoichi and Miyagikyo single malt distilleries and has notes of pear and citrus with dark chocolate and light smoke.
Nikka was set up in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the “Father of Japanese Whisky” – who while in Scotland in 1918-1920,  learned the secrets of whisky production. Masataka Taketsuru’s adopted son, Takeshi, created this whisky in honour of his father to showcase the art of blending that Masataka valued so highly.
Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt Whisky is best enjoyed neat to fully appreciate the full complexity and layers of flavour from this tribute to the art of blending. A few drops of water may also help to bring out the bright and grassy top notes.

Balvenie 12 Year Old Single Barrel First Fill Whisky | 1911!

Built by the Grant family in Dufftown and situated next door to sister distillery Glenfiddich, Balvenie is at the heart of Grant’s range of blends.

Despite their proximity and shared water source, the style of spirit produced by the pair are quite different, with Balvenie producing a sweeter, more honeyed and very lightly peated new make spirit.

It wasn’t until 1990, when Kininvie distillery was able to shoulder some of the responsibility for blending stock production, that Balvenie was really able to push forward as a single malt.

The distillery quickly distinguished itself through use of innovative maturation processes, and was one of the pioneers of cask finishing with the introduction of its Doublewood expression in 1993. Balvenie is also one of the few remaining distilleries still using onsite maltings; although today this only meets a small percentage of its requirements.

Released in 2013, Balvenie's Single Barrel First Fill was matured in first-fill bourbon casks for at least 12 years before bottling. These are limited edition bottlings, with each bottle being one of no more than 300 drawn from a single cask.

Each is also hand-numbered and labelled with the cask reference number. A deliciously creamy, vanilla-rich whisky from Balvenie.

Age: 12 Years Old, Cask Type: 1st Fill Bourbon, Cask Number: 4789, 47.8% ABV, Bottle Number: 74 / 300

Cardhu 12 Year Old | 1917!

Cardhu comes from one of the oldest of the Speyside distilleries, which have nestled in foothills near the River Spey for 200 years. The Cardhu family of whiskies are intrinsically lively in character and produce a range of classic Speyside malts from the lush valley of the River Spey.

With smooth, sweet, mellow characters, this whisky has warm notes of baked apple and toffee. 12 Year Old Cardhu has a well balanced, smooth mouthfeel; short punch, sweet and fresh, then a pronounced drying effect.

The light character of the 12 Year Old Cardhu makes it an excellent gift for anyone starting on their whisky journey.

The first distillery purchased by John Walker & Sons in 1893, Cardhu had been operating from 1824 - though illicit whisky production had happened onsite since a decade earlier - before it became the home of Johnnie Walker at the end of the century.

In 2003 there were protests at the changing of Cardhu from a single malt to a ‘pure malt’ with contributions from other distilleries and even the name of the distillery was reverted to ‘Cardow’. Returned to a single malt and its true form in 2005, its key markets are France and Spain.

Glen Garioch 10 Year Old Douglas Laing’s Premier Barrel | 1922!

Having been in specialist and craft Scotch Whisky production for generations, Douglas Laing originally exported blends, but now carries the family name down the line by focusing on bottling exceptional single malts and grains as part of their Old Particular, Provenance and XOP ranges.

They also enjoy huge success with their “Remarkable Regional Malts” range; a series of creatively named vatted malts, designed to epitomise the characteristics of Scotland’s whisky regions.

Bottled in narrow retro ceramic decanters featuring an alliterative and rhythmic ditty on the label, Premier Barrel is a series of single cask single malt whiskies limited to a certain number and filled at high strength.
