For Gordon and Macphail fans old enough to remember, they used to produce a peated Bunnahabhain as part of their Macphail’s Malt range and pound for pound it was one of the best value peated malts available This Discovery bottling is the modern version!

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Sweet and creamy; vanilla custard topped with crushed meringue and zesty lemon curd. Fresh cut grass swirls with aromas of the seaside; sea weed, brine, and sea salt. Light peat smoke envelopes the nose throughout.

Palate – Candied lime and lemon sit upon a bed of stewed pear and currants. Nuances of velvety milk chocolate lead to richer leather undertones with hints of liquorice.

Finish – Long and smooth on the finish with refined woody tones, tobacco, and bonfire embers.
