The imperial measurement of an inch was once decreed as three fat barleycorns laid end to end – a King’s Inch they called it. The measure of a good host, in our opinion, is one who knows how to share a decent dram. This small batch single malt scotch whisky has been distilled and matured in Glasgow. Like us, it’s Glaswegain through and through. Spending just the right amount of time maturing in ex-bourbon and ex-Sherry casks it’s now ready to make its way in the world.
Nose: Fresh green apple, softening to verdant barley, sweet vanilla and caramelized sugar.
Palate: On a first taste, subtle citrus, green apple and hints of pineapple are quickly joined by rich espresso coffee, molasses and notes of chocolate powder.
Finish: Long and warming, with rich buttered toffee, black pepper and sweet spice notes of clove, cinnamon and ginger.
